At “Pilates Wellness Center of York” we recognize the value of every person and are guided by our commitment to the health and well-being of our clients to provide custom-designed, service orientated, educational exercise routines that are both preventative and rehabilitative body conditioning founded from the teachings of Joseph H. BEMER Therapy
Here at Pilates Wellness Center of York we also offer the use of BEMER Therapy. In short, BEMER is a mat you lay on attached to a machine to give you the intensities through PEMF ( pulsed electromagnetic frequencies). BEMER sessions boost the body’s blood flow.

Pilates Testimonials
Pilates has been the only system of training that has enabled me to recover from severe injuries. My right ankle had been broken and severely sprained and my right tibia and fibula shattered and displaced. In addition, my lower back was fractured in four places, resulting in spinal chord compression of approximately 20%. These injuries caused crippling pain and weakness and rendered me nearly entirely bedridden for more than 8 years. I started Pilates as a “last resort”, after trying everything else possible. I couldn’t walk without assistance or sit or stand for more than 15 minutes at a time without excruciating pain in my lower back, hips, groin, and legs. Denise devised a program of stretching and strengthening that simultaneously utilized the Pilates equipment to stabilize and protected my spine. Two years later and I’m able to walk unassisted. I can sit, stand and walk for an hour or two at a time. I’ve reduced my use of pain medications by 80%. The process continues, but my health slowly improving in meaningful ways. I’m now hopeful about my future prospects!
